Our Mission

The department of Information Technology is dedicated to create learning environment for students to gain core knowlege in the field of Information technology and to provide opportunities to acquire knowledge in various tools and programming languages by the way of self learning, and to solve engineering problems for the betterment of mankind.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO 1: To Provide a strong foundation in computing, science, general engineering and mathematical theoretical concepts, laid a strong platform for practical implementation of developing real time applications.

PEO 2: To impart graduates with primary focus on basic fundamentals in the software and hardware aspects of computing, algorithms, design analysis and architecture modeling.

PEO 3: To meet the objectives and expectations of the industry by utilizing the academic curriculum and with the support of present technologies like mobile computing,cloud computing, networking, software testing and database applications.

PEO 4: To provide students with an understanding and appreciation of the societal consequences of technology, including computers, and of the ethical issues that may arise with new technologies for balancing the economic growth of the country.

PEO 5 : To make students to acquire intellectual and social mobility, such that they will be able to meet the career and lifestyle challenges of a changing world, by adapting acquired modes of expertise and experience to new circumstances.

Program Outcomes

a) Graduates can apply math, science, computing and engineering knowledge to Information Technology engineering problems.
b) Graduates will be able to demonstrate with excellent programming, analytical, logical and problem solving skills.
c) Graduates will possess strong fundamental concepts on database technologies, operating system, complier designs, advanced programming, software engineering.
d) Graduates will have the ability to focus on comprehend engineering techniques like architecture modeling, distributed computing, parallel computing, component based technology, pervasive computing, mobile computing, cloud computing.
e) Graduates will have the ability to design, implement, and evaluate a computer-based system, process, component, or program to meet desired needs, within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.
f) Graduates will have the ability to apply design and development principles in the construction of software and hardware systems of varying complexity and implement software and application systems.
g) Graduates will possess leadership and managerial skills with best professional ethical practices and social concern.
h) Graduates will be able to demonstrate the team work with an ability to design, develop, test and debug the project by developing professional interaction with each other that can lead to successful completion of project.
i) Graduates will have the ability to recognize the importance of professional development by pursuing postgraduate studies or face competitive examinations that offer challenging and rewarding careers in computing
j) Graduates have the ability to use fluency in oral and written communication with co workers and clients with due respect to the cultural values. To encourage students to actively involve in participative learning of English and to help them acquire Communication Skills.
k) Graduates will be able to appreciate the role of research in Computer and IT related areas.
